Since 2016, Chris Howarth has been an integral part of Salisa Language School, earning a reputation as one of our most trusted and respected English teachers. Over the years, Chris has built an exceptional portfolio of loyal students, many of whom continue to study with him long-term due to his results-driven teaching style and genuine commitment to their success.
As a native English speaker from the United Kingdom, Chris brings clarity, accuracy, and cultural depth to every lesson. He has extensive experience teaching General English as well as exam-focused and academic programs including TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL, IGCSE, and SAT. Notably, Chris has served as our Lead Business English Teacher, supporting professionals across industries to improve communication, confidence, and workplace performance.
Chris’s strength as an educator is rooted in his remarkable professional background. With 23 years of service in the British Royal Navy, including senior leadership and instructional roles, he possesses outstanding skills in planning, coordination, coaching, and mentorship. He has designed specialist curricula, led large teams, and delivered high-level training in demanding environments—experience that directly translates into structured, effective, and engaging English lessons.
His teaching style is best described as adaptable, motivating, and student-centered. Chris consistently tailors lessons to individual learning needs, helping students of all ages achieve their full potential. Whether preparing learners for high-stakes examinations, advancing business communication skills, or building strong foundations in English, he combines professionalism with a calm, encouraging presence in the classroom.
